Pet Tales Rescue is a network of pet owners that foster animals until they find their forever home.

All of our pets are housed in foster homes and are treated like family. This also gives us the advantage of getting to know each of our pets intimately and being able to provide better details to potential adopters.

Sherman

Hi, I'm Sherman! I was born around March 18, 2020 in East Grand Rapids. I was playing with my littermate in the street on June 8th when all of a sudden a car came and hit him. A family grabbed me so I wouldn't get hit too and brought me to my foster mom. I was so scared but am glad I am now safe. I have long black soft fur with a little spot of white on my chest and a few white hairs in my armpits! My foster mom calls me her fuzz ball and has just started brushing me (which I love on my back but not so much on my tummy). I love playing with my foster brother and sister as well as playing in the kitty tunnel and climbing the kitty tower. I am still a little scared of people I don't know and will hide and watch them for a little bit before coming out to play with them. I have had my first vaccinations, been neutered (ouch!), and microchipped. I like playing with other kitties and people once I get to know them. I haven't been around dogs yet but if they like me, and with proper introductions, I would probably like them too. To meet me, please go to www.pettalesrescue.com and fill out an application. My adoption fee is $100. ! can't wait to meet you! Love, Sherman View full description »

Baby, Male, Large
Briar
BriarBriarBriarBriarBriarBriar

Hi, I'm Briar! I was born approximately April 28 and was rescued from the side of a road in Middleville by a nice lady who saw my brother had been killed by a car. I was sitting there not knowing what to do but she stopped, picked me up, took me home and named me Lord Briarbutt of North Field Haven! My foster mom just calls me Briar. I am a brown tabby with lots of purrsonality and my foster mom says I am simply adorable! I love to climb everything, play with the other foster kitties as well as stuffed mousies and springs, but my favorite thing to do is chase balls all over the house! I am very fast! I play hard and then cuddle up with my foster friends or foster parents and fall fast asleep. I have had my first vaccination, been neutered (ouch!) and microchipped. I love other kitties and people. I haven't been around dogs yet but if they like me, I would probably like them too. I will be ready for adoption on July 10. To meet me, please go to www.pettalesrescue.com and fill out an application. My adoption fee is $100. ! can't wait to meet you! View full description »

Happy Tales

“It’s been almost 2 months since Connor has come to live with us. His name is now Diesel and has adjusted well. He loves to catch grasshoppers, moles, and chase balls. He also loves to help me in the garden by stealing beans out of my hands as I pick them and running away with my squash. We made him a small agility course because he’s so good at jumping and army crawling. He fits in well as my fourth child. lol! He and my two-year-old fights like brother and sister;) He’s potty trained and knows quite a few commands. He’s a great dog and I believe he loves it here. Thank you so much for our new family member! Oh and he’s gained 15 lbs of muscle in that short time. He’s gonna be a big boy! More to love;)”

– Conner’s New Mom

Connor and his siblings came to Pet Tales Rescue in August 2014. Connor was the smallest of the litter, but the first to figure out how to climb out of the pen while he was being fostered. We are delighted to have his new family share this update on him.

Pet Tales Rescue was established in 2010…

By some people who had spent several years volunteering with other rescues. They wanted to take their many years of knowledge and experience out on their own to help find homes for abused and abandoned pets. We are committed to finding loving, permanent homes, that provide the love, companionship, and quality care that every animal should have.
